I used to be hung-up on the need to be successful. That is, until I took a daring step into the unknown and discovered the difference between attaining success and successful living. While others achieve transcendence while trekking in Tibet or living among indigenous tribes in the Amazon rain forest, my spiritual epiphany began with a move to Munich, where I didn't know a soul or speak the language. (Does gesundheit count?) In that move I learned to follow my inner guidance, surrender to life, and trust that I am safe and taken care of regardless of where I am in the world. I discovered that life is meant to be an adventure, and that only when we step out of our comfort zone can our dreams become a reality.I was 31 and living in Southern California. Despite many wonderful friends, a rental house near the beach, a sports car, a busy psychotherapy practice, and a lucrative speaking and consulting business, I wasn't happy. Mostly, that was due to my ever-present quest for success. I dressed to succeed (according the popular book on that topic), drove the car a successful person would drive, and constantly thought about what I needed to do next on that seductive road to bigger and better achievements. I worked too much, and played too little. Though I exercised at a gym (for successful people, of course) took yoga classes, and meditated regularly, there was little peace in my life. I was driven by the fear that if I stopped for a moment, someone else would take the place that was waiting for me at the top of the mountain. I was surprised to receive the message, "move to Munich" in response to my inner plea for clarity, guidance, and direction. But when the inspiration came through, I decided to "go for it" and see where it would lead me. My transatlantic move was both the scariest and most exciting thing I had ever done. I took nine weeks off to travel by myself to Europe (I had never been there) and look for work at the same time. Five months later I closed my business, sold or gave away everything I owned, and moved to a small, furnished apartment in Munich to teach psychology for an American university. One of the first things I noticed after my overseas move was that I had taken myself with me. There I was, six thousand miles from home, and recreating the same negative patterns that I had hoped to leave behind. Unfortunately, this made it difficult for me to blame my unhappiness on my life circumstances. Clearly, my life was not going to be truly satisfying until I looked within and changed some old, familiar ways of being in the world. The most important thing I did was to redefine success for myself. Instead of always pursuing some illusive, future goal, I decided that success for me would be having nice days. Each morning, I thought of ways in which I could make that day special. I began to appreciate the music of the distant church bells chiming in my neighborhood, the delicious smell of fresh bread in a local bakery, and the light cast within my tiny apartment, with snowflakes falling outside my window on silent winter afternoons. With spring, I rode my bike along the banks of the Isar River, captivated by the beauty of nature and the magnificent, old buildings that line its banks. I anonymously walked the streets of the city, and discovered favorite cobblestone passageways leading deep into the ancient past. Each night, as I lay in bed, I asked myself the question: "Did I have a nice day?" If I did, I considered myself successful. During this time, I discovered that I didn't need lots of money or possessions to live abundantly. I earned little, owned almost nothing, and didn't even have a car (unheard of in Southern California, freeway capital of the world!) Yet, I found with a little economizing I was still able to travel to Denmark, France, Greece, Cypress, and Italy for glorious experiences. I stopped identifying myself by my accomplishments or income level, and even stopped dressing for success (oh, sweet relief!) Although I made new friends from many cultures, I found that I was contented simply being with me. Not surprisingly, just when I was completely at peace within myself, I met a wonderful man who has been my life partner ever since. Life has taken its inevitable twists and turns since then, bringing new joys and challenges along the way. Thanks to my time in Munich, I strive to say "yes" to life whenever possible. I have come to believe that we live our best lives when we act courageously in accordance with the magnificent guidance within us. There are enormous blessings which accompany our willingness to say "yes" to the opportunities life places on our doorstep. Although these opportunities never come with written guarantees that all will be fine, in my experience, when we risk following our inspiration, life unfolds even more perfectly than we ever imagined.
Pet Boxers, although low-maintenance, require your consistent attention, exercise, human interaction, consistent obedience training and lots of love. You cannot leave them to their own design for too long or they get lonely, bored and into trouble.
Being a big and strong dog as well as a highly intelligent one, Boxers need both physical and mental stimulations to keep them even-tempered and dignified while still keeping their impish spirit and fearless courage in tact.
How to keep Boxer out of trouble
Their high prey drive (some owners called it play drive) needs proper outlets or they could get destructive as house pets, and tend to fight among themselves especially if the other family Boxers are of the same sex. The female, it seems, is more aggressive than the male.
Keeping Boxers busy is the best way to keep them out of trouble! Tire them out with long walks, 3 times a day. Give them plenty of exercise, play with them, especially the inquisitive puppies or they would tear up your home out of boredom, pent up energy and frustration.
For all your love and caring, be prepared for wet slobbery drool and kisses and love in return.
What some proud owners say about their pet Boxers:
* "Having a Boxer is like having another human in a dog body with you. You can talk to Boxers and they would understand. They demonstrate feelings just like human does. If they are loved, they will love and protect you."
* "Boxers are the most loyal companions. My Boxers bring me up when I am down. They are the canine clowns of the dog world. They are the only dogs for me."
* "They are a gift! The two I have are always smiling and they cheer me up when IÆm not too happy. They can be your friends for life!"
* "My Boxer can take up my moods or lay quietly by my feet for hours."
* "Boxers are so intuitive, so easily bored and heartbroken. They are the definition of devotion and courage."
* "If I treat my Boxer puppy as an intelligent animal and talk to him almost like he's human, he is more responsive and better behaved, as though he's picking up on my sentiments by the way I am speaking to him."
* "Boxers can be very manipulative. They are a lot smarter than they look! DonÆt get taken in by their innocent-looking face or let them walk all over you no matter how much their eyes make them look like they are truly sorry."
* "Give up being house-proud and enjoy your "devil dog". DonÆt have potted plants because youÆll end up with empty pots. DonÆt run to answer the phone because youÆll be rugby-tackled and end up flat on your face."
* "Bringing a puppy or even an older dog into your home and your life is a major decision. It brings with it responsibility and commitment, but it also renders supreme joy, laughter, and sadly, but inevitably, tears. Not one of us who has ever shared his life with a Boxer would have it any other way."
* "Boxer dogs think they are human. Treat them like one - love them, talk to them, cuddle them and value them and you will get your love back unconditionally 10,000 times."

Conditions differ from circumstances. Circumstances are changeable conditions which merely "stand around about you," and, of them, have no stability. They are created by man, and can be overcome by man.
But, differing from circumstances, there are certain conditions which seem to be so "fixed" that they obstruct your progress toward success. They are of two kinds: undesirable facial features, and malformations of the body. They are often so fixed that it seems impossible to change them.
Yet, the limitations of all such conditions can be overcome! It has been done hundreds of times, and that which has been done, can be done!
Of course, you cannot change your height from four feet eight inches to six feet two inches, but in all dealings with others, you can overcome the limitations which you think are due to a stature of four feet eight inches! You can carry yourself in such a way that others will think of you as a king. Napoleon, though short of stature, made himself the commanding figure among all classes and manner of men, merely by the way he carried himself. He did not increase his stature, but he overcame its limitations.
Whether or not you succeed in overcoming conditions, which it seems impossible for you to change, depends on your vision of the powers of your soul, on your faith in its possibilities, and on your use of expression as the means of overcoming the limitations. If your ideal of the possibilities and powers of your real self is limited, then you hinder yourself in climbing out from under the conditions. But, if you realize that your soul is infinite, and that its possibilities of expression are limitless; then, no matter what the partial manifestation, no matter what the restricting condition, no matter what the limitation-you can climb out from under it, by changing your expression!
In essence, your soul is perfect-embracing all possibilities and all powers.
In manifestation, you limit yourself by limiting your expression.
You can change your expression!
You can change your body!
But, to change the bodily form, you must change its expression first!
If you are locked in a room, with the key on the inside of the door, on your side, you will fail to get out-no matter how much you butt your head against the door-unless you first turn the key to unlock the door.
But, it is easy to succeed in getting out of the room, if you turn the key in the lock first, and then open the door.
If you have failed to climb out from under the limitations of bodily conditions, it is because you have been attempting to batter down the form of the limitations without first changing its expression. To succeed means "to climb out from under." It does not mean to batter down, to smash, or to '' reduce to nothingness.''
You can always change the expression of any form of life.
And, changing its expression will change its form.
Soul expression is soul-in-action.
Activity comes first!
Every soul loves the beauty of activity more than it loves beauty of form; for, in active expression, there is a beauty which has a greater and stronger appeal than the beauty of form.
Do you not prefer the living, romping, active, companionable dog-even though he may not be perfect in form-to the most perfect clay model of a dog any artist ever designed?
As a mother, do you not prefer the active, living child-even if its nose is not perfect- to the most beautifully formed and perfectly featured doll in the world?
And, young man, do you not prefer the living, loving, joyously expressive maid, to the perfect wax figure in the department store window?
It is beauty of expression which we most love! It is beauty of expression which attracts others most!
Wealthy people share common traits. That's why they are wealthy. If you want to be extremely wealthy, learn and own these traits:1. PERSISTENCEOn your way to achieve wealth, you will definitely face some obstacles. Overcome the obstacles and move on. Do not give up and be persistent. Wealth is achieved only by removing a series of stumbling blocks along your way to riches.2. INVEST OR BUILD A BUSINESSExtremely wealthy people are either businessmen or investors. Look at some of the richest people in the world. They all own companies. To create wealth, you must involve yourself in business or investing. This is where the money is. Start your own business and grow your wealth.3. INNOVATIVETo be very wealthy and to stay wealthy, you need to be very innovative. Being innovative ensures that you always come up with new ideas to create wealth. Look around you for some opportunities that can make you rich. Be observant and critical. 4. DO WHAT YOU LOVEIf you are not doing what you love, forget about getting rich. Wealthy people get wealthy because they do what they love. They love what they do so much that they forget that they are actually working. Find something you love and create business around what you love.5. GIVE IT BACKDonate some of your income to charity you believe in on a regular basis. Some extremely wealthy people even have their own foundations. They donate a percentage of their wealth to the cause they believe. The more you give, the more you receive. Do not hoard wealth, share it with people around you.6. CONTINUOUS LEARNINGKeep learning to improve yourself. Extremely wealthy people believe that the greatest asset in the world is your mind. Your mind shapes your destiny. Invest in your greatest asset by reading books, listening to audio tapes or attending seminars. 7. LEVERAGEExtremely wealthy people do not do everything themselves. They know when to let go. They hire the right people to do it. Bill Gates doesn't write software, he hires programmers to do it. To be very rich, you must know how to leverage. Hire people and use tools to do some of your work. If you do not leverage, there is so much that you can do, and this puts a limit on how much money you can make.Besides the above traits, extremely wealthy people dream big and they take action to have their dreams come true. Furthermore, they persevere and have strong desire in achieving their dreams.
In individualistic success models, success is not due to the individual’s relationship with his external environment or place in society, but, rather, a matter of individual accomplishment or, in some cases, a measure of his relationship with God. These models had their roots originally in Protestant Calvinism and are the typical ones you will see in “Success” books. Examples discussed includeThe Protestant work ethic modelThe American success modelNew Age ModelProtestant Work EthicAccording to Max Weber (1904, 1905), it was John Calvin who introduced the theological doctrines which combined with those of Martin Luther to form a significant new attitude toward work. Calvin was a French theologian whose concept of predestination was revolutionary. Central to Calvinist belief was the Elect, those persons chosen by God to inherit eternal life. All other people were damned and nothing could change that since God was unchanging. While it was impossible to know whether a person was one of the Elect, one could have a sense of it based on his own personal encounters with God. Outwardly, the only evidence was in the person's daily life and deeds, and success in one's worldly endeavors was a sign of possible inclusion as one of the Elect. A person who was indifferent and displayed idleness was most certainly one of the damned, but a person who was active, austere, and hard working gave evidence to himself and to others that he was one of God's chosen ones. Calvin taught that all men must work, even the rich, because to work was the will of God. It was the duty of men to serve as God's instruments here on earth, to reshape the world in the fashion of the Kingdom of God, and to become a part of the continuing process of His creation. Men were not to lust after wealth, possessions, or easy living, but were to reinvest the profits of their labor into financing further ventures. Earnings were thus to be reinvested repeatedly, ad infinitum, or to the end of time. Using profits to help others rise from a lesser level of subsistence violated God's will since persons could only demonstrate that they were among the Elect through their own labor.Selection of an occupation and pursuing it to achieve the greatest profit possible was considered by Calvinists to be a religious duty. Not only condoning, but encouraging the pursuit of unlimited profit was a radical departure from the Christian beliefs of the Middle ages. In addition, unlike Luther, Calvin considered it appropriate to seek an occupation that would provide the greatest earnings possible. If that meant abandoning the family trade or profession, the change was not only allowed, but it was considered one’s religious duty. The norms regarding work which developed out of the Protestant Reformation, based on the combined theological teachings of Luther and Calvin, encouraged work in a chosen occupation with an attitude of service to God, viewed work as a calling and avoided placing greater spiritual dignity on one job than another, approved of working diligently to achieve maximum profits, required reinvestment of profits back into one's business, allowed a person to change from the craft or profession of his father, and associated success in one's work with the likelihood of being one of God's Elect. “American Dream” Success ModelThe present model of business and career motivation, the one most closely associated with the “American Dream” which emphases individual achievement, competition, and domination has been around for at least the last 50 years. Unlike the Calvinist work ethic that is based, the motivation for moneymaking is no longer saving for the future, but, what Thornstein Veblen, the famous 19th century economist characterized as “conspicuous consumption.” Luxury homes, luxury cars, fancy electronic gadgets, and exotic vacations create the illusion of wealth. The philosophy of the Amway Corporation, now known as Quixtel in the U. S. is a good illustration of the concepts involved.Amway Corporation is a direct selling organization that produces and markets products using a Multilevel Marketing system (or MLM for short). Multilevel marketing is a form of direct selling in which manufacturers authorize independent contractors to sell their products directly to consumers, bypassing intermediaries and retail stores. Using the garage or a spare bedroom as a warehouse and a home office as a business hub, a distributor makes a profit by buying wholesale from his or her company and selling to customers at retail prices. MLM is also a recruiting business. A distributor is permitted to sign up other individuals to become part of his company’s distribution force--and is paid a commission on the wholesale product purchases made by recruits. Both methods then furnish consumers with new options in acquiring consumer items they desire. The motivator for work and sole measure of success measured is money and the goods that money can buy: This is a business, and a main reason people work at any business is to earn money that not only will help them pay their bills, but also meet other goals. Those may be short- or long-term goals, and they could be large (like buying a new house) or small (like saving for a vacation). A better standard of living is a common motivation and reward for people starting any kind of business. Money - and what it can buy - is the universally recognizable indicator of success that distributors use to motivate and establish credibility for their business.(http://www.amway.com/InfoCenter/questions/question20.asp)Another important aspect of this success model is that one has only one self’s to blame for one’s own success for failure. And yet given the low success rate in Amway, "...the data from one investigative report reveal that only 1,000 of over 200,000 distributors ever achieved the rank of Direct Distributor or higher," it is also quite clear that the company does not offer success to anyone who enters the business [Bromley, 1995:151]. How can all these well-meaning people not succeed? The only ideologically accepted explanation is that these well-meaning people had no commitment to "the dream.” Amway is a performance-based business that rewards people in direct proportion to their effort. The bigger the financial goal, the more time and effort a distributor will need to put into his or her business. With an Amway business, a distributor can work as much or little as he or she likes. The rewards are based directly on the distributor's accomplishments. (from Amway The product is irrelevant. It is keeping the dream alive and resisting everything that could possibly rob one of The American Dream that counts. For "the dream" is God’s blessing, the divine will, the American Way, family, morality, and the free-enterprise system. . Recently, the American success model has been taken a battering. The competition for business markets and jobs is stiff. The faith in business has been eroded by corporate fraud scandals, massive layoffs, and outsourcing. However, at least for now, it remains the predominant success model in today’s America.New Age Views on SuccessNew Age philosophy got its name from the belief that we are at the threshold of a New Age. New Agers contend that the world is going through a paradigm shift, a time when accepted ways of thinking and acting change drastically, because of new discoveries. For example, the invention of writing and of agriculture triggered paradigm shifts that led to a completely new way of living. According to New Agers, we are going through a paradigm shift through new discoveries in physics and psychology. The judgmental (left)) side of our brain limits our possibilities for creativity. In contrast, the right side of our brain tells us that reality is what we make it. We need to be more creative in order to live up to our possibilities. In fact, some New Agers believe that we are actually gods, possessing mysterious powers that we do not know that have, including the ability to transform reality to conform to our desires. We have these abilities because there is already an underlying oneness between our beings and the universe. Nuclear physics discovery that matter and energy is the same suggests that everything is made up of the same energy. Hence, we, as energetic beings, interact with the energy of our environment to create our own destinies. The link between spirituality and money is evident in many New Age “self-help” books that combine techniques for psychological and spiritual well-being with techniques for financial success.8 According to New Age thinking, your spiritual health and financial health are closely related. As a result, the idea that “reality is what you make it” often translates into “your economic reality is what you make it” Being open to new experiences and goes along with taking new risks and investments. The New Age movement has adapted many of the same tools used by the Eastern and Wicca tradition that we have discussed: crystals, Tarot cards, meditation techniques, astrology, etc. However, they have developed two powerful motivational tools of their own: affirmations and visualizations.Affirmations are positive statements Simply repeat them to yourself as you go about your daily routine. You don't even have to consciously "listen,” just play it in the background. Your subconscious mind hears and retains the spoken affirmations and thus begins creating a more prosperous mindset. Your mind will especially pick out the personal issues and focus on them. Examples are: There is limitless supply and it is mine I release my need for financial insecurity I am financially secure I am surrounded by loving, giving people I release my need to feel needy I have everything I want or need I release my fear of wealth and wellness I am healthy and wealthy I allow myself to prosper I trust that I will create abundance I have more than I need in every area of my life I open myself to receive the abundance of The Universe I release my need for debt I am solvent I am safe and secure I enjoy a steady flow of positive energy I am loved, accepted, acknowledged and appreciated Active, creative visualization is focused daydreaming. You create in your mind's eye a vision, a thought, and that thought has energy. As with dreams, your mind seems to work best with pictures. As such, visualizations, coupled with affirmations, are powerful tools of creation.
You've heard everywhere that submitting articles can increase your online exposure, but here's a quick run down of all the other benefits you can expect. Believe me, it really is worthwhile writing articles. 1. You'll brand your web site, business and yourself by submitting articles to ezines. You could include your name, business name, your credentials, web site address and email address in your resource box. With more articles published, your name will become synonymous with quality products. 2. You will become known as an expert on the topics you write about. This will give you and your business extra credibility which will help you compete against your competition. 3. Your article might also be placed on the publisher's home page. If they publish each issue on their home page this will give you some extra exposure. 4. You might get extra exposure if the ezine publisher archives their ezine on their site. People might want to read the back issues before they make the decision to subscribe. 5. You will get free advertising. This will allow you to spend your profits on other forms of advertising. You could buy advertisements in other ezines that don't publish your articles. 6. You might get extra income from people wanting to hire you to write other articles, books, or even ask to speak at seminars. This is a great way to multiply your income. 7. You could allow ezine publishers to publish your articles in their free ebooks. Since people give them away, your advertising could multiply all over the internet. 8. You will get your article published all over the web when you submit it to an ezine publisher that has a free content directory on their web site. They'll allow their visitors to republish your article. 9. You'll gain people's trust. If they read your article and like it, they won't be as hesitant to buy your product or service. You will then be able to increase your profits. 10. You could get your article guaranteed to run in an ezine. You could agree to run one of their articles in your ezine if, in exchange, they run yours in their ezine. It's a win/win situation. The real benefit of writing articles is that it is a long term promotion strategy. Yes, you will get traffic straight away, but as time goes on, your article will be picked up time and time again.
Now that you’ve begun to develop the ability to move energy around in your body there are some things that you can do with it. The following exercises range from pretty simple to pretty complicated, but as you develop your abilities you’ll eventually find that you can do them all at once and effortlessly. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few years to develop this ability, so remember what I said about expectations.
Grounding
Grounding will always be an important skill, no matter how ‘advanced’ you become, so take the time to learn this now and to be able to do it effortlessly.
Stand in the ‘Standing Stake” pose described above. Go through the breathing and Full Body Awareness exercises. Visualize roots growing from your feet down through the core of the earth, just like a tree. In later meditations you can add some variety by seeing the roots flow down to a large crystal at the earth’s core. Depending on the effect you want you can vary the crystals and access different energies, but that obviously beyond the scope of this exercise.
As you inhale feel the energy of the earth being drawn up through your roots and up through your body and out through the top of your head.
On your exhale, let that energy drop back down through your body and feel all the accumulated stress of your life flow out with it and back down through your roots and into the earth. Feel your muscles relax as the stress flows out. This is a good way to release all your stresses, fears, angers and feelings of inadequacy. Repeat this exercise for awhile, as many times as necessary to clean yourself out.
There’s nothing wrong (and a lot of benefit) to stopping at this point and just doing these exercises that we’ve learned up to this point, until they become completely effortless. Whenever you feel yourself stressed or angry learn to take a moment and ground yourself and let those feelings just flow out.
Progressive Relaxation
Progressive Relaxation is easy to do and you can do it anywhere and anytime.
Assume your meditation position of choice (I like the half-lotus on a zafu) and go through all the exercises I’ve covered up to this point. Now just take a moment and feel the relaxed energy that you should have after grounding and releasing all your stress. Are you ready to get deeper into this feeling?
Feel the energy that flows up through your roots and into your feet. Now make ‘fists’ with your feet by curling your toes in as far as you can until it hurts, then relax. Now let that relaxed feeling flow from your toes back over your feet and feel them relax.
As you inhale draw that relaxed feeling up over your ankles and feel them relax completely. On the exhale let any residual stress flow back out and down through the earth.
On your next inhale draw that relaxed feeling back up over your calves, letting them relax after walking all day.
Then, draw that relaxed energy up over your thighs with the next inhale. They’re the biggest muscles in the body, so let them relax and rest now.
As you inhale feel that relaxed feeling flow up over your hips and buttocks. Feel the stress bleed away. We store a lost of stress here, so take a moment and let this area relax.
Now draw that relaxed feeling up over your stomach and lower back. Feel the muscles in your back relax and feel your stomach move with your inhale.
Bring the energy up over your chest and the middle of your back. Feel your heart area expand with the relaxed energy and feel all the accumulated stress in between your shoulder blades release and flow out and back down with your exhale.
Draw the feeling of relaxation up over your shoulders and neck. Feel any residual tension flow out with your exhale.
Now let that relaxed energy flow up and over your head. Let the muscles of your face and those at the base of your skull relax.
Now just sit here and feel this relaxed body that you have. Remember this feeling as its how you should feel all the time. Tense muscles store energy, which means that your energy isn’t flowing through you, but rather sticking in certain places in your body.
When your muscles are relaxed then your energy flows unimpeded leaving you feeling much lighter and more refreshed.
The country of Brazil is actively recruiting American farmers to relocate to the prime growing area of Matto Grosso del Sol. The government’s enticements include easy financing opportunities, low labor costs, limited regulations imposed on land use, and a per-acre price of $17.00 USD. The downside – this area has no infrastructure, and the purchaser would be required to build his / her own road in order to access their land, and the outside world.
Now, out of 10,000 people, 9,995 would be saying, “No way! Give me something more settled, proven, time-tested. I’ll gladly pay the price to live in civilization.” And thank goodness for this majority – they are the people who literally make industry in the United States and elsewhere function on a daily basis. They are the purveyors of the GDP, and we hold them in high regard.
However, there are 5 people thinking, “Build your own road! How cool is that?”
These five people are destined to be entrepreneurs, and they are the people whose efforts and chutzpah eventually push the world forward.
One of the primary characteristics of an entrepreneur is the ability to see opportunity where others see nothing more than hard work and potential loss. The entrepreneur realizes that the greater the risk in an investment, the greater the potential reward. Entrepreneurs learn to minimize losses by educating themselves about what the actual risks are, and using the resources of other people (capital and intellectual) to reduce or overcome those risks. The “hard work” part is relative – there are many employees who work hard, but gain very little in terms of reward. The entrepreneur is willing to work hard, delay the gratification of reward for years, if necessary, in order to win big in the end.
A second characteristic of the entrepreneur is the willingness to make mistakes. They wouldn’t worry so much about how to build a road as they would about locating their remote acreage in a highly productive area, and finding a reasonable path to the nearest market. The details of road building would be delegated, probably to local labor. If the labor force had never dealt with things like dynamite, surveying equipment, etc., the initial attempts at a road would be crude at best. Still, the entrepreneur worries less about being perfect than they do about getting results. The mistakes only motivate them to try again, this time with a different plan.
A final characteristic of the entrepreneur is vision. The entrepreneur doesn’t look at this vacant land and see a weedy expanse teeming with insects. He sees cleared and plowed fields of dreams, brimming with soybeans or other cash crops, a tidy ranch house, and a straight, paved road headed straight for the world’s market. In short, the entrepreneur starts with a picture of the end result in mind, and builds steadily toward that end until the picture becomes reality.
The road to your greatest opportunities and your highest level of success may still have to be built. Are you ready to pick up a shovel?
Skin is one of the first parts of the body to show problems from toxins. The body essentially sees the skin as not as essential as other key organs like the heart and lungs. The body, unfortunately, diverts nutrients from the skin to the key organs to keep them as healthy as possible. This fact is problematic for the look and texture of our skin because the skin relies totally on nutrients for its health --- which is a mirror for how our skin appears. Toxins attack nutrient stores and when sufficient quantities are not available for the entire body, the skin suffers.
Major causes of toxins which should be reduced or eliminated to preserve healthy, natural reserves of nutrients are the following:
1. SMOKING
Probably the worst toxin for healthy skin is smoking, because it severely constricts blood vessels that cause smokers to have a discolored complexion. The nutrients can only be delivered to the skin with a healthy delivery system, which is compromised by smoking because it constricts circulation, cutting off an adequate supply of the nutrients and oxygen needed. It’s been conclusively shown that smokers in their 40’s have the same amount of wrinkles as non-smokers who are 20 years older. The Nagoya City University Medical School in Japan has demonstrated smoking increases levels in the body of an enzyme that acts to break down collagen – which is the fiber that keeps the skin firm.
2. ALCOHOL
Another toxin that causes major problems with healthy skin is alcohol in that it actually alters the shape of red blood cells that reduce the amount of oxygen traveling through the system. It, like smoking, increases an enzyme that attacks collagen and, particularly, the elasticity of our skin.
3. STRESS
Unique hormones are driven by high stress levels that wipe-out the B vitamins circulatory systems need to create healthy red blood cells. Stress drives dull looking skin because of the lack of adequate vitamin B.
4. SUNLIGHT
The real toxic enemy when it comes to our skin is the sun. Dermatologists have presented a position that if we didn’t expose our skin to the sun, wrinkles would not appear naturally until the 60’s. The problem with sunlight is it allows high levels of free radicals to be formed in the skin that attack the collagen and elastic fibers. Too much sunlight over time thickens the upper layers of the skin, which create a dull, shallow appearance.
Detoxing your skin (and hair) against the four above issues is a matter of significantly reducing or actually eliminating these toxins. If it is difficult or improbable that they can be significantly reduced, steps can be taken to augment nutritional stores and use all-natural premium skin care products to overcome the affect of toxins. A good multi-vitamin tablet, such as Complete Essentials for Women, can be obtained from IH Distribution LLC and should be augmented with Defense Builder Antioxidant. If oily skin is present, an oil-free cleanser, such as
Bio-Matte, is invaluable. Balm mint, ivy, lavender, and mallow provide soothing anti-inflammatory action and actually condition the skin on contact. If toxins are constantly present, a product such as Rejuvenating Cream, also available from IH Distribution LLC, will create a healthier, younger appearance with a proprietary blend of vitamin E and naturally occurring amino acids. The unique combination of botanicals softens the look of lines and repairs and returns the skin to a normal, moisture-rich state. A good masque, such as the unique
